Project Overview
2,400 MW off-river open loop cycle pumped storage project in Andhra Pradesh, utilizing an existing reservoir system with upper and lower storage infrastructure. Construction is expected to start in 2026, with commissioning planned for 2031.
Upper Reservoir & Geological Aspects
30 m high (average) and 3.07 km long Concrete Gravity Dam with 35.0 MCM live storage capacity.
Lower Reservoir & Geological Aspects
Existing reservoir with 736.7 MCM live storage capacity.
